Magic in the Middle

The Memoirs of Mohammad H. Mohseni

Background: Vancouver’s North Shore Mountains.

In the excerpt below, Mohammad reflects on the inspiration behind his memoirs.

Dear Reader,

I began this project with my daughters and their husbands in mind, along with my grandchildren and great-grandchildren. I hoped they might find meaning in how our family thrived in Persia—later Iran—and eventually built new lives in England and North America. Perhaps, I thought, they might recognize a part of themselves in these pages. And to those among you with only a passing interest in Iran and its history, I ask for your patience. For others—may something stir from within.
